There is no other way to command an Opel Blitz in COH 1 legitimately. It has incredibly low survivability but makes up for it in great speed and able to carry up to 12 individual soldiers with 4 squad slots.
Simply tap on one and it can be commanded by the player. It has also been seen in COH 1, however, it can only ever be commanded during the final mission of Tales of Valor: "Falaise Pocket" Missions: "The Exodus Begins", in which the player can command any unit that is on the path you are supposed to protect including Opel Blitz. An Opel Blitz supply truck can ensure a greater return of resources from owned territories.
